All authors should disclose financial and non-financial relationships that could reasonably be perceived to influence the research, including funding, employment, personal relationships and relevant organizational interests.
Reviewers and editors must disclose competing interests and decline or recuse themselves from assignments when impartiality cannot be maintained.
Manuscripts should carry a clear Conflict of Interest statement. Where authors declare no competing interests, that statement must reflect their own confirmed disclosure.
The editorial team may request clarification and take appropriate steps to manage conflicts. Disclosure does not automatically disqualify an article.
